Certificate in Ministry
The Certificate in Ministry is a one-year program of study, in cooperation with the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences, designed to improve the level of competency in Ministry for Ministers and lay persons who have not met college entrance requirements.  It is not a degree program. 
Requirements for graduation: 30 semester hours of study (min.) and 32 maximum hours.
Completion of the Certificate coursework does not entitle the certificate completer to be admitted into the Bachelor Program.  Candidates for admission to the Bachelor Program must meet the prerequisites (Math, English, Diploma, or G.E.D., etc.).  The Admissions Committee may make exceptions under certain circumstances.


Associate of Arts and Sciences Degree in Liberal Arts
Major:  Liberal Arts - Length:  Four Semesters (2 years).
Purpose:  The Associate of Arts and Science Degree is designed for persons who plan to transfer to a four-year college to complete a baccalaureate degree program, generally a B.A. degree.  This program provides instruction for those persons entering law, education, journalism, ministry, and other fields.  The curriculum consists of courses in the humanities, foreign language, biology, and social sciences.  Upon satisfactory completion of the two-year program , the graduate will be awarded the Associate in Arts and Sciences Degree in Liberal Arts.
Requirements for graduation:  60 semester hours of study (minimum) and 62 maximum hours.


Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies
Major:  Religious Studies - Length:  Eight Semesters (4 years) 
Purpose:  The Bachelor of Religious Studies Degree is designed to prepare students for church-related vocations and/or responsibilities.  Students are required to complete the core curriculum of the Associate of Arts Program before they can proceed in the Religious Studies Major.                                                                                                    
The Religious Studies' freshman and sophomore curriculum is the same as the Associate Degree curriculum.                                                                                             Requirements for graduation: 120 semester hours of study (minimum) and 122 maximum hours.

Bachelor of Arts in Organization Management (Online Course)
Organizational management is defined as the art of applying general principles of systematic planning and problem-solving to skillfully direct the united efforts of an organization, or unit (s) of an organization.
    - The online bachelor degree completion program, based on principles of adult education which recognizes the importance of experimental learning, provides professionally relevant coursework in an accelerated online learning environment.
    - The program is suitable for those seeking employment opportunities and career advancement in business, industry, government, education, ministry, and non-profit organizations; and preparation for graduate school.
    - The online program is designed to allow the qualified adult learner the opportunity to earn a college degree in twelve to twenty months of contiguous study.
    - Qualified "adult learners" are defined as those students who possess at least an associate degree in liberal arts or forty five semester hours in general education courses prior to matriculation.
    - Emphasis is placed on the qualitative, rather than quantitative, aspects of organizational management.
    - Groups of students are formed into a learning cohort of approximately 15 to 20 members.  The members start the program as a unit and proceed with that cohort through program completion.
    - Students enroll, on a full-time basis, in four distinct 3-dredit courses during a four-month term, one course at a time.
    - This process of immersion in one subject at a time greatly enhances student learning.
    - Students enroll in two courses every eight weeks.
    - The VUL degree consists of 120 minimum semester credit hours.  At least forty five (general education) semester credit hours are required for admission. Thirty-six semester credit hours are required in the Organizational Management major and the remaining thirty nine hours must be taken to complete the requirements for the degree.   Follow this link to our online site..

Bachelor of Arts in Sociology
The mission of the Department of Sociology is to acquaint students with the forces and principles basic to the operation of human society and help them to relate this understanding to contemporary social problems; to assist students in understanding the individual, society, and culture; and to provide a useful background for diverse fields including counseling, placement in the areas of public service, and social work.
This program is oriented toward providing a mature understanding of social behavior on the pre-professional and pre-graduate levels geared to an understanding of social welfare as a social institution and an appreciation of the values that underlie such activities.  The program is not designed to prepare one for teaching in elementary and secondary schools.
Requirements for graduation:  120 semester hours of study (minimum) and 122 maximum hours.


Master of Divinity Program
In accordance with the mission and purpose of the University, the graduate program is designed to provide the student with a program of professional training and preparation for the Christian ministry, where high standards of scholarship and research in the basic academic disciplines are achieved, where moral and spiritual growth coupled with competence in ministry takes place, and where the student is prepared to achieve in any and all cultural settings.


Doctor of Ministry Program
The Doctor of Ministry program is open to applicants, without discrimination, who have completed the Master of Divinity degree at an accredited seminary, provided that they have been engaged in professional church-related ministries for at least three years subsequent to receiving the M.Div. degree, and provided that they have demonstrated the ability to do academic work on the graduate level.  The demonstration of such ability will be evidenced by a B average, and proven quality in communication skills and cognitive ability as ascertained in an interview and a review of written work.
