C. Omarr Evans
C. Omarr Evans. Assistant Professor of Business. Professor Evans represents the "new breed" of professionals who are actively applying their education for career development in the business world.
Currently a Financial Analyst at the Planning Department and Program Financial Control at Lockheed Martin Systems Integration in Owego, New York, Professor Evans is responsible for site analysis and forecasting of sales for business areas, initiation of new planning improvements in CPM and E-data, development of long range plans, and program monitoring. He is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt trained in cost reduction.
Professor Evans earned his B.S. in Finance at Alabama Agricultural & Mechanical University, and continued on to earn an M.S. degree in urban and regional planning (focusing on housing and community development) at the same institution.
His broad experience over the past dozen years has included academic, business, and banking. In addition to his current work with Lockheed Martin Systems Integration, he has served as a financial manager with a commercial waste water treatment company, and interned as a fiancial analyst at Fleet National Bank. Professor Evans' academic experience has focused on expanding career opportunities, and he served in Alabama A&M's executive exchange program in both Alabama and New York, and for six years was the program coordinator for the Urban Education Institute of the State University of New York at Albany. His service efforts were recognized in 1996 with the Washington Times Foundation National Service Award.
