Dr. Brian Satterlee
Dr. Brian Satterlee, Professor of Business & Management, has been a leader and a nationally known consultant in adult education for over two decades. He is the principal author of the organization management courses offered by Virginia University of Lynchburg.
A member of the Oxford Round Table, he has authored books in the areas of Strategic Management, Non-Profit Management, and in E-Commerce, as well as contributing to Annual Editions in the areas of Business and Society, Business Communication, and the Internet and Business. In addition to publishing 23 papers he has been a speaker at 25 professional conferences.
His broad academic background gives him in-depth experience in a wide variety of occupational areas. Dr. Satterlee's education started at Delgado Community College in his native New Orleans, and continued to a B.S. degree in construction management at Southwest University, and an M.S. degree in administration at Central Michigan University. He earned a doctoral degree in education, specializing in vocational-technical-occupational and higher education at Nova Southeastern University, and a doctoratein business administration focused on management and international business at the University of Sarasota.
Dr. Satterlee has served as consultant to numerous organizations, and serves as accreditation site visitation team member for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) and the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS). He serves on College Credit Review Teams as subject matter expert in Advanced Project Management, Leadership, and Management for the American Council on Education. He has been a consultant to the Homebuilder’s Association, Tenneco Petro-Chemical Refinery. Dr. Satterlee has also served on a number of non-profit and for-profit advisory boards/committees, including: CEOexpress.com, International Society for Professionals in E-Commerce, Global Entrepreneurship Institute, Hunger Education and Resources Training Inc., and Central Florida Regional Center for Manufacturing Productivity.
Dr. Satterlee has been a consultant or on the teaching faculty for Cornerstone University, Shorter College, Institute for Professional Development, Corinthian Colleges, Inc., Covenant College, Keiser College, Delgado Community College, The University of Central Florida and University of South Florida. Currently, Dr. Satterlee is a professor of business in the School of Business at Liberty University.
His international business focus has taken him across the globe, from Europe to Asia. He served in international consultant capacities for The NEWLO Institute (Grenada, West Indies), The Social Centre (Dominica, West Indies), and Muffles College (Belize, Central America).
