The Overseas Missions studies program was developed to encourage todays academic students to enhance their perspectives of global communities and cultures and the ministries of international countries. The mission is to present Global Perspectives through seminars at Todays Christian Mission Overseas Missions Study Center (OMSC). Various seminars are available through the OMSC and are co-sponsored by seminaries throughout the country from many Christian traditions, and present critical mission issues related to evangelism, theology, ethics, strategy and spirituality. Each week stands as a unit by itself, and may be joined with one, two or three other weeks with minimal overlap. Any week may carry academic credit from a students school if prior arrangements are made by the student with the seminary administration. Participants will stay for the first two weeks at Mercy Center, Madison, Conn. (on the shoreline, 20 miles east of New Haven, where both lodging and meals are provided. The last two weeks take place at OMSC, New Haven), with meals at a nearby dining hall. Further information can be provided by calling 434-528-5276. |
